Tanzania is blessed with the winning combination of unparalleled game viewing and dazzling tropical beaches. It is a vibrant and beautiful country with exceptional parks and reserves. Owing to its vastness, the country’s major holiday destinations are divided into four areas:
Northern Safari Circuit; the most popular Tanzania safari route comprising the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, Tarangire and Kilimanjaro.
Tanzania Coast and Islands; the country’s beaches, especially those on islands like Zanzibar, are breath-taking and very accessible.
Southern Tanzania; includes the wonderfully wild and underrated Selous and Ruaha, Tanzania’s best-kept safari secrets.
Western Tanzania ; head to the far-flung corners of Katavi and Mahale for the ultimate off-the-beaten-path Tanzania safari experiences. These four areas help in coming up with distinct packages that lure tourists globally as they are satisfying and worth any holiday saving.

We will spend the day following the great migration of about 1.5 million Wildebeests and 500,000 Zebras migrating through the Serengeti Ecosystem. Dangers are everywhere and packs of a lion, cheetah, and other carnivores are everywhere waiting for the right moment to strike. Crocodiles in Mara River do no mercy as the herds cross the river. Thousands are swept by the arrogant waters and the scenes are amazing. Later in the early evening, you will return to Serengeti wilderness camp for your overnight.
You’ll have a full day game drive at the park. The huge herds of plains game such as wildebeest, zebra and antelope dominate the park while the attendant predators such as lion and cheetah are to be found amongst the many kopjes scattered across the plain. Its landscape varies from open grass plains in the south, savanna with scattered acacia trees in the center, hilly, wooded grassland in the north, to extensive woodland and black clay plains to the west. Your full day accommodation will be at the Osinoni tented camp.
You will enjoy yet another morning game drive in Serengeti. Drive back to the camp for breakfast and check out before starting your journey to Ngorongoro. We arrive at the Ngorongoro Rhino lodge to a warm welcome, check in and then lunch. Note: a warm jacket or cardigan is highly recommended.
This morning we drive and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for game driving and exploration. The crater is 600m deep, 16km across and 265 sq. km in area. Enjoy the spectacular scenery and game viewing, in what has been described as the eighth wonder of the world. Many of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino can be seen grazing on the open grassland of the crater floor, surrounded by some of the 20,000 large animals that occupy the crater, including lion, cheetah, eland, zebra and gazelle. Flamingo, among other bird species, can often be seen feeding at Makat Soda Lake as well. Full board accommodation will be at the Rhino Lodge.
After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a morning game drive as you drive towards the border. You’ll be picked from the border and be transferred to Nairobi, with lunch enroute.
