Arrival
Day 1
Arrive Nairobi - Drive to Naivasha
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by one of our representatives who will be your driver guide during safari. You will drive to Naivasha located on the floor of the Kenyan Great Rift Valley. This fracture in the earth’s crust stretches around 6000 km from The Middle East to Southern Africa. Lake Naivasha is one of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley Lakes. Despite its relative lack of depth, it’s home to numerous hippos and hundreds of bird species as well as being an important stopover for migratory birds.
The landscape surrounding Lake Naivasha consists of an incredible mosaic of swamps (which expand and retreat with the seasons), acacia forests and the high Rift Valley cliffs. These provide nesting sites for many of the area’s bird species.
On the way, you can have a stopover & enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Great Rift Valley of East Africa. Upon arrival, check in the lodge to ease the fatigue of the journey, enjoy a hot bath and have some lunch. An ambience of peace and tranquility will be easy to achieve after a day on safari. You will later head for a boat ride experience on Lake Naivasha and a crescent island nature walk (costs included). Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
