Samburu National Reserve
Set on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro River and neighbouring the Buffalo Springs National Park, Samburu National Reserve is characterised by a spectacular landscape of rugged hills, undulating plains and riverine forests. The park is home to abundant wildlife including a variety of rare species such as the reticulated giraffe, the long-necked gerenuk, Somali ostrich, Grevy’s Zebra, and Beisa Oryx. Visitors can also enjoy spotting over 900 elephants, a variety of predators, and over 450 bird species. The ancient culture of the Samburu people is still alive here, and it is possible to see two unique customs firsthand. In the first, watch as herds of cattle respond to each man’s individual voice as they call. In the second, see the tribesmen perform incredible dances that go back hundreds of years.
Loisaba Conservancy

This morning you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Wilson airport for your flight to Samburu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred for check in at Soroi Larsens Camp, an elegant riverside safari camp set along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, where spacious luxury tents blend seamlessly with the surrounding wilderness and offer an authentic safari experience in the heart of Samburu. In the afternoon, enjoy your first guided wildlife experience as your guide introduces you to the unique ecosystem of northern Kenya, home to rare species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and gerenuk, before returning to camp for dinner beneath the African sky.

After breakfast, transfer to Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp, an award-winning luxury safari camp perched dramatically on an escarpment overlooking the vast Loisaba Conservancy, with sweeping views stretching towards Mount Kenya. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided nature walk led by experienced rangers, discovering the conservancy’s diverse habitats while learning about its pioneering wildlife conservation initiatives, before ending the day with a memorable bush sundowner.
Overnight: Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp
Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp is situated on the beautiful Loisaba Conservancy in Laikipia. Perched on the edge of an escarpment, the camp is designed to capitalize on unhindered views across Laikipia’s mottled landscape all the way to Mt Kenya. All accommodations and main areas enjoy a breathtaking vantage point over an expansive panorama.

Visit the conservancy’s renowned anti-poaching sniffer dog unit, enjoy a bush meal in the wilderness, and return to camp to relax amidst one of Kenya’s most breathtaking safari settings.

End of Itinerary
Enjoy a final guided morning walk or nature activity, depending on your departure schedule, before transferring to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi or a scenic drive back to Nairobi.
