There will be airport pick-up at Jomo Kenyatta international airport by our representative, who will brief you on your 14 days Kenya Adventure Safari. The representative will then transfer you to Ibis Styles Hotel for overnight stay.
You’ll be picked up from the hotel after breakfast and embark on a journey to Amboseli National Park. After a check in and stopover lunch at the AA Lodge, you’ll proceed to the scenic Amboseli National Park for a game drive returning to the lodge in the evening for a sun downer. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.
An early breakfast will be served at the lodge, and then you’ll set out for morning game drive, returning to the lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive will start at 1600hrs. Amboseli National park, situated close to the Kenya-Tanzania border, is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. The Park lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa whose snow-capped summit presents a splendid view on clear days. The park is popularly known as “The home of Elephants’, owing to its homage to some of the largest Elephant herds. Other wildlife found here includes Zebras, Wildebeests, Giraffes, Buffalos, Hippos and Antelopes. Also to be found in Amboseli are lions, leopards, Cheetahs, Rhinos and many species of plain game.
You’ll check out and leave Amboseli after breakfast, driving to the Aberdares, where you will check in at Ark Lodge in time for lunch. Here you will enjoy the experience of a tree top accommodation, overlooking floodlit waterholes where wildlife and birds regularly visit. Aberdares is known for its rhinos but there are over 40 species of wildlife inhabiting the Aberdare mountain ranges, hiding in the heavily forested slopes and in the upper moor lands. Afternoon game drive will start at 1600hrs, returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight later in the evening.
Breakfast will be served at 8am before proceeding further north across the Equator to the edge of the Northern Frontier. You’ll arrive in time for lunch at Samburu Sopa Lodge. After enough rest, afternoon game drive will begin at 1600hrs, returning in time for a sun downer and dinner at the lodge. Samburu is part of a lava plain that includes a diverse landscape of thorn scrub, red dirt, dried river beds, broken volcanic rock, steep hills, and rocky outcroppings. Sights of the peculiarly branched palms and thorn trees give an unusual look to the region, making it one of Kenya’s most admired stops after the Mara Reserve.
There will be morning and afternoon game drives after breakfast, sandwiched by lunch and some rest at the lodge. An extra cost, you may opt to do some of the activities offered at the lodges and a visit to Samburu Villages. The region’s lonesome panoramic beauty and the permanent water supply acts as a lure for the abundant species found here. The uncommon Grevy’s zebra with huge fury ears, gerenuk antelope standing on hind legs to feed, Somali ostriches with distinct blue legs, the shy Oryx, elephants, leopards and some bird species are found here. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.
After an early breakfast, you will have a morning game drive en-route Mt. Kenya National Park. You will have lunch at Serena Sweetwaters and enjoy an afternoon game drive at Mt. Kenya National Park. Dinner and overnight will be at the Serena Sweetwaters.
You’ll have breakfast and enjoy a morning drive via the Nyahururu Falls down to the shallow soda Lake Bogoria and later to the beautiful lake Baringo where you may enjoy the pleasure of an evening bird walk. Lunch, dinner and overnight will be at the Sandai Resort, Lake Baringo. Lake Baringo is the most Northerly of Kenya’s small Rift Valley lakes; creased with papyrus and well developed acacia forest. Hippos, crocodiles and monitor lizards are effortlessly seen from the shore, as is a magnificent display of water birds. With over 1200 different species native to the country and more than 450 sighted here, this is Kenya’s bird watching centre. It is however advisable to come here with mosquito repellent because this is malaria land, you can contract the disease if you don’t take the necessary precautions.
An early breakfast will be served before embarking on a morning boat ride in search of hippo, crocodile, and fish eagle. Return to the lodge at 11am, and then proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch. Set out for afternoon game drive. The park is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard. White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago and you will find white rhino at the southern end. The park has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species of bird found here. Dinner and overnight will be at the Sarova Lionhill.
You’ll have an early breakfast, and then depart for Masai Mara National Reserve via the Great Rift Valley arriving in time for lunch at the AA lodge. We then proceed on an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge for a delicious sundowner, and dinner. For the next two days, the ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest migration in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of green grass before turning south again in October. Hot air balloon safari can be arranged and a cultural visit to Maasai villages for the children to the Maasai culture and for a traditional dances at an extra cost.
You’ll start with an early morning game drive, returning to the lodge in time for breakfast. You’ll then depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon hours. Drop off at Ibis Styles hotel in time for lunch. Your dinner and overnight will be at this hotel.
After breakfast, you’ll check out and be transferred to the airport for your flight back home. This will mark the end of your 14 days Kenya Adventure Safari.
