TANZANIA.

Tanzania is blessed with the winning combination of unparalleled game viewing and dazzling tropical beaches. It is a vibrant and beautiful country with exceptional parks and reserves. Owing to its vastness, the country’s major holiday destinations are divided into four areas:

Northern Safari Circuit; the most popular Tanzania safari route comprising the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, Tarangire and Kilimanjaro.

Tanzania Coast and Islands; the country’s beaches, especially those on islands like Zanzibar, are breath-taking and very accessible.

Southern Tanzania; includes the wonderfully wild and underrated Selous and Ruaha, Tanzania’s best-kept safari secrets.

Western Tanzania ; head to the far-flung corners of Katavi and Mahale for the ultimate off-the-beaten-path Tanzania safari experiences. These four areas help in coming up with distinct packages that lure tourists globally as they are satisfying and worth any holiday saving.

Below is a 7 DAYS 6 NIGHTS TANZANIA WILDERNESS SAFARI;

Itinerary

Day 1Lake Manyara National Park

You’ll be picked up from your hotel or airport and be driven to Lake Manyara. You’ll check in at Tioma Lodge, where you’ll be accommodated on full board basis. The park derived its name from the Maasai word “manyara”, which is the Swahili name for the plant Euphorbia tirucalli. The Maasai use this plant to grow livestock stockades, which matures to a highly durable shockproof hedge. The Great Rift Valley is part of a fault in the earth’s crust which stretches 8,000 kilometers (4,971 miles) from Turkey to the mouth of the Zambezi River in Mozambique. The fault is so massive that when astronauts landed on the moon, the Rift Valley was clearly visible to them.

Day 2Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you’ll be driven to Serengeti, Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park and famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers a remarkable game-viewing experience in Africa. You’ll arrive in time for lunch at Acacia Serone Luxury camp. After the afternoon game drive, you’ll return at this camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3Serengeti Central

You will have breakfast at the camp before leaving for Central part of Serengeti. This park is well-known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the “big five”, named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffaloes, and Rhinos. You’ll return to the camp for lunch. An afternoon game drive will start at 1600hrs, returning to the camp late in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4Ngorongoro Crater

An early morning game drive will be served at the camp before leaving for Ngorongoro Crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, and various species of birds. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. You’ll check in at Ngorongoro Farm House Lodge in time for lunch. After the afternoon game drive, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5Tour to Lake Eyasi

After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Eyasi to visit the bush men and observe their activities such as hunting and wild fruits gathering. The Hadza or Hadzabe are indigenous ethnic group in north-central Tanzania. They live in Lake Eyasi in the central rift valley and in the neighboring Serengeti Plateau. The Hadza is just under one thousand in population living as hunter-gatherers, among the last hunter-gatherers in the world. Your full board accommodation will be at the Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge.

Day 6Tarangire National Park

You’ll drive to this park after breakfast. It is one of the largest national parks in Tanzania located in Manyara region. It is characterized by the large herds of elephants, tree climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees also called the Tree of Life for its almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it. This park is especially known for Tarangire River which flows all year round and the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons. Your full board accommodation will be at the Acacia Tarangire Luxury Camp.

Day 7Departure

There will be an early morning game, returning to the camp at 9am for breakfast. You’ll then drive back to Arusha, dropping off at the airport or hotel to mark the end of your safari
